TGIF – Thank God I’m Feisty

Interestingly, I created a new word by combining quality & entrepreneur and nobody can spell the word “Qualipreneur” let alone recognize that I was one. Instead, my wife & children are worried that I would never be able to hold a “normal” job after I hit age 55. I went to many networking groups, but never quite fit in with any one clique. And, a lot of my peers and managers were left a bit frustrated with me because I am always Friendly, Smart & Younique but never like to follow corporate rules.

One of the 7 principles by the late Stephen R. Covey  “Begin with the end in mind” needed a bit of tweaking. today the Qualipreneur step-on this principle “Begin with the Beginning after the end is the mind.”

With the end in mind and the begin with the beginning… I am writing a book and my bold target is to sell 1 million copies in the first year and I just want to make $2 profit – $1 for my wife and the other $1 for charity.

Will you support me, each of you buy 11 copies instead of 10. (10 is not a good number, because 10 mean it completed or full, so 11 is a better number it mean you restart after you have completed or you are fools !!!  oops you are full – I am looking at just $11 a book

This book is going to be packed with lot of tested & tired ideas to energize you to achieve Quality Work Quality life.  It is not another self-help books you see on book self. Why write self-help book where there are thousand in the market and friendly speaking, who practice after reading it.

This is going to be a Friendly, Superby & Younique  practical & working book  that you will ever need to buy other quality book once you started this Quality Journey  with me.

If I put it on e-book, each page I can sell at US$1.20  – Those joker take 70% – balance 30% for poor me.

The picture on the top left hand is  my drafted design  book cover.

Getting started is just half the battle…… I am taking this challenge…fsy

Let’s talk a bit on FEEDBACK

It is worth exploring the idea of feedback since many people believe that learning from feedback is an unconscious process. That is they don’t have to spend time thinking about feedback because learning happens as a natural and automatic process. They are absolutely right!

However, the learning which happens automatically is not necessarily the learning you want. Managers/employees who continually fire-fight use feedback in this way. They use feedback to maintain their systems of fire-fighting taking them from one crisis to another.

I have known some brilliant fire-fighters in my time, and it is their automatic responses to feedback which keep them operating in well developed grooves. Unfortunately, the only learning they experience helps them to put out more fires in different ways – with no preventive scheme in sight!

This is one way of dealing with feedback. Another way is to think that feedback is a personal attack, become defensive and reject the feedback as someone else’s failure.

The most useful feedback is free of judgment about its nature, intention, emotion or any other type of contamination.

Treat it as a scientist would at a laboratory experiment – describing precisely what you see and what you hear. To say “he doesn’t likes my proposal – he can’t appreciates the quality of what we are presenting to him” is to contaminate vital feedback with likes/dislikes and judgments about what can/can’t be appreciated.

It is better to accept the feedback to discover why the proposal was not accepted and to do something positive about it.

Feedback is always a gift that FSY  take it to be Better than the best.

Everything is possible’ is this a good value or..  ? Share your thought with me…  Someone say  – This isn’t a good value because everyone thinks it’s possible to do your utmost to eliminate what you don’t want or get what you want

97% of people buying decisions are made on an emotional basis then later justified by logic. Because emotion stimulates the mind up to 3,000 times faster than rational thought processes.

Getting started is just half the BATTLE.

If communication [leadership] is to change behavior, it must be grounded in the desires and interest of the receivers …Artistotle

Hard Gifts are often used to grease the wheels of Guanxi, the Chinese term for relationships that help win jobs and promotions.

Soft Gifts are feedback, You accept all Feedback unconditionally, Massage it & make Choices and change your behavior according to the results you want.

Qualipreneur;  is the hyphen connecting the world of Quality & Business.
