Friday Sharing w/You

Friday, May 31

As mentioned in the May 10 posting – An unexpected journey in search of my Dad’s house in Hainan Island – (May 1 to May 6 2013 – Accomplished).

Ever since my reunion with my my elder sister in Hainan, I still have regrets missing the opportunity in meeting up with my 2nd sister during this visit. Guess what? Overnight, I started receiving calls from my nephews and nieces from all over China. During all these phone calls, chit-chatting and connecting, I was finally told that my 2nd sister actually has been staying in Singapore with her youngest daughter who has married to a Singaporean for a few years. I immediately went to visit her on 27/05/2013, Monday. When she saw me, I received a huge tight hug from a 79 years old lady! Another mission accomplished!

As Father’s Day is just around the corner, I regard it just as another family formality. In my opinion, so long as we are present with our dad’s Love it is immortality. With this belief in my heart that enable me successfully got in touched with my long lost sisters as well as founded my dad’s house. Once the dust is settled, rebuilding my dad’s home is another task added to my new bucket list for my son and to pass-on to his future generation . As I mentioned – dad’s Love is immortality. Although my mum and dad passed away when I was only 14 & 17 respectively, also leaving me all these funny stuff to do, I have no regret or qualm doing them at all. Interestingly, being the youngest in my family and doing all these funny stuff alone… I truly believe in gratitude. That’s why I always signed off every emails with gratitude!

I make a Quiet Choice on Friday.
In spite of the noise surrounding me, I ignore common conversations about acquiring success (by-the-way success is measure by money plus power). I Quietly and without fanfare Choose what is Enough, ‘Time Affluence’ and where I will devote my energy.

Look around you, you be able to notice many of these people who have lot of money and power, yet they are more likely to suffer from ‘time famine’. The more cash-rich working adult you are, the more time-poor you feel. Not surprisingly, when it comes to winning the war on time famine, you are your own worst enemy. To win the war, first you have to declare it — we have to want to change to do less with less. I am not kidding.

So, we need to redefining ‘success’ to include a third metric, beyond money and power, “time affluence” which will lead, without doubt, to greater well-being and deeper wisdom. Not a bad thing to put on top of our Friday to-do lists. And since today is Friday, I share a few Tips on how to handle Fridays – Click www.qualipreneur.com Friday sharing w/You.

“No human face is exactly the same in its lines on each side, no leaf perfect in its lobes, no branch in its symmetry. All admit irregularity as they imply change; and to banish imperfection is to destroy expression, to check exertion, to paralyze vitality. All things are literally better, lovelier, and more beloved for the imperfections which have been divinely appointed, that the law of human life may be Effort, and the law of human judgment, Mercy.” -John Ruskin
