Quick Question

Is it possible to work hard or do hard work in a cubicle?

Today Sharing:

Someone once asked me this question – Why are we here?

My simple answer is “God want to use you to make other people dreams come true” that’s why you are here!

If you are a Leader, (Leader is not just a title in the Corporate world. Whether you are a Father/Mother or any professionals in one way or another, you are a leader of your own) you should make the dreams of others come true…That’s FSYQualipreneur’s principle.

As a leader, your success should be found in the successes of others.  This is the essence of Make Money & Love Safety leadership.

He followed with another question – How to? I told him I don’t have many answers just bullet points for him to bring home to ponder over.

So, please fasten your seatbelt and turn off all electronic devices because we’re about to take a peek behind the scenes and uncover how to make other people dreams come true.

(D)itch the Blame, Shame and Justification game.

Many of you get a surge of motivation in the month of January to do better than before. With the January of 2016 behind us now, some of that enthusiasm may be starting to fade off.

Going back to work from the Chinese New Year holiday breaks should give you a fresh perspective.

For me I started work yesterday, and forget thinking out the box, instead I burned the box (refer to picture)

And for you, forget about your New Year’s Resolutions for personal lives instead make this Monkey year a resolutions for work? That’s Make Money and Love Safety(MMLS)

Make time now to consider the above-suggested questions (ABC-LOVE-FSYD) to make the dreams of others come true. If not, do these 3 simple things which  might be able to help you improve upon past performances in your work and lead to a better and safer outcomes for everyone you work with in 2016.

1.   Stop the Blame, Shame and Justification game.

You know what I’m talking about. It can be discouraging to see workers behaving unsafely or feel as though leaders in the company aren’t placing the kind of emphasis on safety as they should be.

I conducted workshops in Malacca and observed that it is very easy to say “If I have more support from upper management maybe I would be able to decrease our injury rate.”  Placing Blame, Shame and Justification that upper management does nothing to solve a problem because Blame, Shame and Justification has no role to play in constructive problems resolution. Nothing hurts more than pointing fingers.

Just remember that no one ever wins at the Blame, Shame and Justification game.

2.   Review and renew your current systems.

If your current system is not Make Money and Love Safety, it might work against you without you even realizing it. This is a great time of the year to think about how your existing systems might be sabotaging your efforts to Make Money and Love Safety.

If you are relying on outdated systems and still spending resources on administrative effort to follow the mandatory regulations, administrative and compliance duties. This year could be the year to do something about it! Start researching the benefits of updating your current system.

3.   Improve communication.

I mentioned many times that communication in fact is the mother of all problems. Do you sometimes get the sense that you’re not quite getting through to people your message? If this is true you can practice the LOVE process,

Be an active (L)istener

Be (O)bservant

(V)erbalize a compelling vision

(E)ngage and ask for a plan

By taking a step back and be active listening, be observant, verbalize your intention and engage and ask for feedback, you can potentially increase the impact of all your communication. So take the time to practice LOVE.

If you need help, do drop me a line at - Not for free, just a fee of $5665 for a 2 days workshop on LOVE.

To further improve  your communication, Listen, Question and Repeat (LQR) is 3 simple steps of getting feedback from your employees on how they received your important health, safety and environment information. While you are at the LQR ask what information they like you to communicate or training that they’re not currently getting from you.  Who knows, you might be inspired by their responses that some of your training tasks are better outsourced. Until Next Friday… BE DISCIPLINED

My FSY’s sharing is unscientifically and some are contributed by wife & children, friends, acquaintances. I write and share things that matter to me. I understand that everyone have their own opinions, views, & thoughts. There are no right or wrong answers. Nothing is true or untrue, most facts and data can be twisted to your favour.

To the authors, contributors and original sources, my thanks and where appropriate my apologies if I forget to quote your names.  I took a page from your generous sharing and tweaked it into something else, something I hope will spread. Sharing is caring.
