Friday Sharing w/You

FSY week 52 - Friendly Strong Youthful

Let me start  with a Peppy X’mas song from Lady Antebellum – A Holly Jolly Christmas

Today is also the last Friday of 2015 which is also true that our days are longer, but the year is shorter.

Many thanks to all those who have read and shared my Friday Sharing w/You.

May I wish you a very peppy X’mas holiday and a Make Money and Love Safety focused 2016!

The best Job interview of the year.

I went for a job interview the other day. The HR asked me for a resume. I told her I don’t have because if I am nothing but a resume which by the way can be copied and scanned shamelessly than you are hiring an average worker, I told her I am an Artist with a eulogy. She was shocked! But I am hired.

The best  axiom of the year

- Tomorrow will be better – 明天一定会更好!加油哦

It’s not a lie if you believe in it. But don’t take my word for it. Ask around what some other folks are saying…. You can read all the info in Google and hire all the consultants you want, but nothing beats being on the ground working with FSY.

The best word of the year:

If your Performance Appraisal is Low Good, Good, or High Good (creatively HR created 3 level of Goods) or Average, or Satisfaction is doom and over, you have to be Remarkable and indispensable artist.

The best Business Strategy:

-Make Money and Love Safety

When the new Make Money and Love replace the old Safety Frist, you will be surprised. Revolutions are rare, but once you’re hooked it change everything.

The best work in 2015

You don’t need to be a brilliant writer, but if you actually write something each week, then you’ll be better than most because you are doing the work.  Yes and again, I have achieved one of my goals of posting 52 Fridays Sharing w/You (FSY) every Friday without a miss. I would like to thank you for reading and my wife for vetting most of my articles. I also like to thank many of my friends who took the time to have coffee or lunches with me, with some even visited my office in Johor, Setia Business Park.  Those chit-chatting sessions we have been one way I got my stories posted on Fridays. Also, not forgetting those writers where I read their blogs and copy shamelessly, tweaked it and I am paying forward in sharing and teaching in my FaceBook and website.

Today Sharing:

Thank Those Who Helped You and Pay It Forward.

We live in a world of what’s in it for me? What have you done for me lately? Our (F)amily, (S)ociety and (Y)ou suffers from an acute case of instant Gratification and Commercialism.

Have you ever had someone encouraging you to dare doing something differently; interviewed/hired you or said that you could be anything you wanted to be? Maybe, you are lucky enough to have a parent who convinced you that there are no limits and even a teacher or coach has inspired you to consider opportunities that otherwise might have seemed beyond your grasps. It can also have been a boss or mentor earlier in your career, who has helped you to see what you truly are capable of.

Who started you on this Unexpected Quality Journey of Quality Work; Quality life?

If you are fortunate enough to have people like that in your life then you should take a minute to thank them. X’mas is a great time to let them know how their encouragement affected your life. Let them know that a big reason you are who you are is because of them. Don’t take things for granted and don’t take your parents as an entitlement.  In fact, if they are still alive, you have to take a minute right now to give them a hug, a call, drop them a handwriting note or even send them a handwriting E-Card viaWhatsApp or an e-mail  to show your appreciation for their support.

I told my children at age 60 I don’t need X’mas gifts because I don’t want to live in a world of reciprocity. The reciprocity gift system is that it demands you to participate and created a commercialism world and wastage of our natural resources to create that gift.

We don’t commercialise gifts. What we really need is create time to stay together harmoniously. It doesn’t matter whether it is breakfasts, lunches, high teas or dinners. It matters how you create the time and doing it.  I strongly believe that family members that bundle together (F)orever (S)tay (Y)ouniquely together!

In this month of joyous spirits, I would like to thank you and paying forward to those who are on the same Unexpected Quality Journey of achieving Quality Work; Quality Life.

  1. Thank you and I told your boss what a wonderful thing you have done and you are promoted!
  2. Thank you and you make me cry from within (“Nei Ku”).

  4. Thank you and I gave away 5 books this X’mas. Those who paid the RM100 for the “No-Name” Book, in fact, is a gift from me.
  5. Thank you and please teach me how to do that!
  6. Thank you and your time for coffees, teas, lunches and dinners.
  7. Thank you and you changed me, forever.
  8. Thank you and how can I share your stories?
  9. Thank you and for sharing FSY Stories with others.
  10. Thank you and for the appreciation of my ArtWork as a gift – My ArtWork is the Artistic Leadership in me.

 What’s next for 2016:

So there you have it, Thank you 2015 – I am sure you have your own list of thank you and maybe able to add more. What is clear is that there is still plenty to do!! The world is a very long way from being safe and truly employee-centric workplace – that is to make money and love safety and is likely to be for many years to come. However, the unexpected Quality journey continues. One thing that will never change is the fact that all organisations have employees. Your employee will always have needs and expectations. The better able you meet their needs and expectations, the more likely it is those employee will want to keep interacting with you. The more this happens, the greater the likelihood your organisations will make more money and love safety.

Please don’t be the same employee sitting beside you in the workplace. If you are nothing but a resume which by the way can be copied and scanned shamelessly. Then, why are we surprised that your organisation end up filling the same average people for those average jobs?

You can’t be making more money if you are getting average.

Be An Artist – Be an Artistic Leadership in you…

And my last thought for 2015, moving in 2016 I believe some of your organization training tasks are better outsourced. Contact me for a complimentary sharing session at

See you next year, same Friday, different stories, different ArtWorks!

My FSY’s sharing is unscientifically and some are contributed by wife & children, friends, acquaintances. I write and share things that matter to me. I understand that everyone have their own opinions, views, & thoughts. There are no right or wrong answers. Nothing is true or untrue, most facts and data can be twisted to your favour.

To the authors, contributors and original sources, my thanks and where appropriate my apologies if I forget to quote your names.
